Who We Are (Data Controller)

This website is operated by Elango P at elangodev.com. For privacy-related requests — including access, correction, or deletion of your data — contact us through our contact page or email admin@elangodev.com.

Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: data you submit, data collected automatically, and data processed by third-party services we use to operate elangodev.com.

  • Information you provide: name, email address, and message content when you use our contact form, chat feature, or other interactive tools.
  • Automatic technical data: page URLs visited, referrer, browser user-agent, and a pseudonymous visitor identifier stored in your browser's local storage (used only after you accept analytics cookies).
  • Approximate location data: when you accept analytics cookies, we may request country, region, city, and IP address from ipapi.co to understand traffic geography. IP addresses are stored in our analytics database.
  • File uploads: if you use the File Drop feature, files you upload are stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3 under your control until deleted.
  • Account data: if you register or sign in, Supabase Auth processes your email and authentication credentials.

Cookies & Consent Choices

When you first visit elangodev.com, a cookie banner asks you to choose between Essential Only and Accept All. Non-essential tracking — including third-party advertising cookies, analytics cookies, and personalized ad storage — does not load until you choose Accept All.

  • Essential: preferences required for the site to function (for example, your cookie consent choice stored in localStorage, theme preference, and authenticated session tokens when you log in).
  • Analytics cookies (Accept All only): Google Analytics (measurement ID configured via environment variable) sets first-party cookies such as _ga and _gid to understand page views, session duration, and traffic sources. Our first-party Supabase analytics stores a pseudonymous visitor ID and approximate location (country, region, city) after consent.
  • Advertising cookies (Accept All only): Google AdSense and its partners may set cookies (for example, IDE, ANID) to deliver and measure third-party ads. Personalized advertising cookies and ad slot requests fire only after you accept. You can change your choice at any time by clearing site data in your browser, which will show the banner again.

Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights load only after you click Accept All, alongside Google Analytics and personalized AdSense ad requests. These Vercel services use privacy-oriented, aggregated metrics and do not serve personalized ads. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.

Google AdSense & Advertising

We participate in the Google AdSense program (publisher ID pub-3921396916253602). Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the Internet.

The AdSense library may load so Google can verify our publisher tag. We use Google Consent Mode v2 with ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization defaulted to denied. Personalized ads and adsbygoogle ad requests start only after you click Accept All on our cookie banner. Google may collect device identifiers, ad interaction data, and browsing signals as described in How Google uses data in advertising.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, using aboutads.info, or selecting Essential Only on our cookie banner.

Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us operate the site, under contractual obligations to protect it:

  • Vercel — hosting, CDN, Analytics, Speed Insights
  • Supabase — database, authentication, realtime chat, and first-party analytics storage
  • Google Analytics — traffic measurement (consent required)
  • Google AdSense — advertising (consent required)
  • Amazon Web Services (S3) — file storage for the Drop tool
  • ipapi.co — approximate geolocation for analytics (consent required)

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy. Data may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where these providers operate.

Data Retention & Security

We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy:

  • Contact form and chat messages — until resolved or deleted upon request.
  • Analytics records — aggregated traffic logs retained for operational review; you may request deletion of identifiable entries.
  • Uploaded files — until you delete them or they expire per the Drop tool policy.

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), Supabase Row Level Security, authenticated admin routes, and industry-standard access controls. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

  • EEA/UK (GDPR): lawful bases include consent (analytics and advertising cookies), contract (responding to your contact requests), and legitimate interests (site security and essential operation).
  • California (CCPA/CPRA): you may request disclosure of categories of data collected, request deletion, and opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information.

To exercise any of these rights, contact admin@elangodev.com or use our contact form. We respond within 30 days where required by law.

Children, Changes & Contact

elangodev.com is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The "Last Updated" date at the top will change when we do. Material changes will be noted on this page.

Questions About Your Privacy?
